Developer at heart
I started with application development in enterprise IT at Electronic Data Systems in Munich. After my Media Informatics degree came ten years at a digital agency in Berlin: from backend developer to senior and finally to full stack. Software since 2000. Full-time freelancer since 2026.

A multi-tenant AI assistant platform was extended with RAG: company knowledge bases were connected through per-user opt-in so conversations could incorporate authorized enterprise data and cite sources in their answers.
- Solution architecture and end-to-end delivery of the entire RAG integration
- Connected enterprise knowledge sources with per-user consent and access protection aligned with each user's permissions
- Automated scheduled cloud indexing, close coordination with internal IT, and documentation
- Retrieval pipeline with Elasticsearch and source-cited answers in Next.js — production-ready, rollout still pending at project end
A B2B academy for e-commerce education wanted to rebuild its website. Course offerings, mentor profiles, and editorial pages had to be maintainable without developer involvement. The rebuild started from an initial UI scaffold and had to become production-ready on a modern headless stack.

A major German publisher needed a modern replacement for a legacy system. The new platform had to serve multiple publishing imprints, handle personal data under GDPR, and integrate into the client's composable headless ecosystem (Contentful, Next.js).
- Technical consulting and implementation for replacing a legacy PHP system with a giveaway and voting platform for multiple publishing brands

Multi-channel content platform serving a Next.js website and a React Native app via a unified GraphQL API. Neos CMS as headless content hub — a use case at the edge of what the ecosystem supported. 2.5 years in production.

Responsive relaunch of the website of HTW Berlin, Berlin's largest university of applied sciences. The website, grown over years, moved to a responsive, component-based frontend that editors maintain through TYPO3. My bachelor's thesis, “Responsive Web Design for the HTW Berlin website,” provided the methodological foundation for the relaunch and led to a one-year project position.

- Automatic date-based classification of past events and festivals into a shared archive
- Extended CMS preview mode that displays and optionally marks drafts, unpublished changes, and non-public content blocks directly in the page layout
- Brevo newsletter integration with double opt-in, confirmation page, and bot protection

Transnational web platform for a documentary and education initiative on migration and belonging (Berlin / New York).
- End-to-end delivery from architecture and the WordPress backend through the custom theme
- Video archive with Isotope filtering and a custom modal player
- Timelines as interactive historical resources for US and German content, each in two languages
- Vimeo API integration for restricted content and uploads by contributors
- Integration of educator resources and event publishing
- Long-term involvement across multiple iterations: The data foundation evolved from Google Sheets through Google Fusion Tables to WordPress/Pods, with design and features developed in parallel

I work at the intersection of design and engineering, making technical trade-offs understandable to everyone involved. I take responsibility from the first concept through implementation. AI accelerates my daily work; experience helps me judge where it provides useful support and where critical review is essential.
I work independently and as part of a team across different professional and technical contexts – from publishing and professional sports to enterprise SaaS, from monolithic systems to headless architectures. Since 2000, I have worked through several generations of the web. Technologies change, but the underlying patterns remain.
